Grants for Teachers

Hello Teacher Friends!

Grants for teachers’ classrooms is what many of us need right now. We need those grants to help our students be successful in and outside of the classroom.

Grant Writing Tips

I have had the most success with local organizations who want to help the surrounding area or community that the school is based in. Send letters to companies around your school and ask for the items that you need. Make sure to detail why you need the items and how the items will help your students.  Follow-up with the companies.

Some local businesses will donate items instead of giving monetary donations. An example would be that you need prizes for your school store. You would write letters or drop by the business to ask for donations.  Stopping by in person will go a long way in the manager or owners eyes. You will more than likely get the necessary supplies you need by speaking to someone face to face rather than writing a letter or sending an email. First impressions are everything!

A local company that has helped classrooms around my area is a power company.  Teachers can write to the grant organization at the power company for various items needed for their classroom. The organization will deny or approve the grant on a quarterly basis. Reach out to your local power companies to see if they do anything similar or would think about starting a program for schools.  You can check out our local one here

Local companies could have a foundation grant. One of our local food distribution companies has a foundation that hands out grants on a yearly basis. Search for foundation grants in your area. There could also be a grant foundation center in your area that could connect you with grant possibilities.

Local Soda Companies

Another company that may assist you is your local soda companies. If you write a letter or email to their sales/fundraising department, explaining why your students need the items, you might receive a donation.  The company may also give you donations of products they have on hand. The products could consist of cups, soda, shirts, water, juice, etc.

Help Is Here

Do you have all the teaching resources you need right now? Do you need grants for teachers’ professional development? Do you need grants for teachers’ technology?

Did you know that you can help close the achievement gap right now due to the pandemic by bringing in the resources that your students need to be successful?

Closing The Achievement Gap

In our grade-level, we are closing the achievement gap, based on our last MAPs results. We still have a long way to go with bringing up all of our students’ scores, but I know that we can do it with the resources we have right now!

We will of course use our curriculum, but we have more resources from grants like independent reading books, guided group activities, center resources, and much more! You can write grants for teachers for books to bring in classroom reading material as well.

Who Or What Do You Need?

Are you a science teacher who needs science materials? You can write grants for science teachers!

Are you a math teacher who needs math manipulatives, guided-math lessons, math games? You can write grants for math teachers!

Are you a STEM teacher who needs STEM bins, hands-on learning materials, or lesson ideas? You can write grants for STEM teachers!

I can help you achieve your goals of grant-writing in the classroom to raise achievement scores and help you build the classroom of your dreams!
